had my mum's 90th birthday party with christmas fayre here yesterday. it was wonderful. the table was dressed for the christmas fayre which made it special. food was great and the staff were so attentive. mum says it was the best day ever so a great big thank you to everyone at marr lodge

Fantastic food, huge selection to choose from, and friendly helpful staff, will certainly be coming back again soon, would benefit from a few more disabled parking spaces, but 100% from me.

Went in on a Thursday evening, had the carvery which was very nice. We will definitely be retuning.

We went here again with some freinds and yet again the food was realy good. It was a Sunday and tthe car park was nearly full. That in it'self tells you that the place is popular. I am glad we booked a table. It's a must for a Sunday. We all had the Carvery which was hot and there was enough to choose from. The staff are alwasy pleasant and there were plenty about to help you. It was our first time at Marr Lodge and it will not be our last, the food was great, we were a party of 4 and all meals were brought at the same time. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, even though they were very busy.

I have just been to the Launch night & i had a fantastic time. Thank you for the invite. The staff were very friemdly & helpful, always smiling which is great to see The food was delicious. I will leave a glowing report for you on Trip advisor. Thank you again. I shall be returning with my family & friends. 

Been a family pub for years, I even performed my very first band gig here which has a fantastic atmosphere when at capacity.

Whilst in the area, we decided to try out the menu at the Marr lodge as a friend told me that it had changed hands and also a new chef, we were greated by a young friendly male, the two meals that we ordered were well portioned and presented, and tasted awesome, will definitely return soo. All in all awesome.

Steak was beaut melt in the mouth and althought there didn't look much on the plate I am very satisfied. Will be going again soon.

After having avoided this place for a few years, due to very bad food, I had been reading about it being under new management recently, so therefore we decided to try it out on Sunday. I must say that it was a superb carvery, very tasty and hot, thick gravy, I would eat here again on a Sunday, but yet to try out the midweek meals.

From the outside the pub is very deceptive however when you go inside it is quite big. They do a good carvery on Sunday and its real value for money. I eat here quite a lot and the food is very consistent. Staff are very helpful and polite. Had steak ribs and chips last week all under £10 pound and the steak was big real value. The weekday and Saturday menu have a good range too. I will be visiting again as it is a good watering and food place. They also have a big beer garden to rear, good family orientated pub A1

I come here a lot with my parents for Sunday lunch. The food is very consistent. The vegetables are cooked perfectly. I like them to be firm to the bite...these are lovely. You can also take as much as you want.
There are usually about 3 roasts to choose from. They are certainly not mean when cutting it and you can have a couple of choices too.
